==================We deployed LimeSurvey on an IIS Windows server, but we are experiencing slow performance. We are considering changing the web host to Linux and using the Nginx web service. Do web services impact performance? For example, would using Linux improve performance? The slow performance occurs with both a few questions and many questions; the response time is the same. Additionally, it takes an average of 10 seconds to open the survey. The Limesurvey 6 does not support the customized theme.
I have a client with a big windows IIS server, and i have an old (more than 13 years) little old server.
I'm not a optimization specialist, but old server on debian 12 with nginx/PHP8/mariaDB are really more speed than big server with windows IIS/PHP8/MSSQL
I'm sure there are way to improve IIS speed, but it's really more easy with a linux.
PS : preproduction server for the windows IIS , i'm the only user …

The Limesurvey 6 does not support the customized theme.
If LS5 goes End of Life at the end of the month, there won't be any updates and bug fixes anymore. So you will have to work on creating your custom theme in LS6 anyway.
