Hello everyone.

We successfully installed LimeSurvey on own server; we followed the manual, re- checked all permissions , and seemingly everything is working … except that whatever CSS we add to the custom.css file of our extends_fruity theme are not applied, at all; also, when doing grep -r extends_fruity in /var/www/<limesurvey>/application we get no result; our /var/www/<limesurvey>/application/config/config.php file is pretty much empty besides the necessary database-related configuration.

We have no idea what’s going on, and we wonder where the configuration done via the Settings menu is saved on disk?

Could anyone please help out?

Yes, the theme is located there, still it does not get applied.

I don’t know if it’s just the custom.css part which is not applied; to me it looks more like LimeSurvey simply ignores that we selected the extends_fruity theme to be used for global “Default theme” as well as global “Survey theme”; as written above, I cannot find the string “extends_fruity” written anywhere in the config directory or somewhere else, so I have the feeling something is odd.

Okay so there’s specific administration themes, and they do differ from the “user” themes, and those cannot be edited with the theme editor?

Admin themes cannot (yet) be edited with the theme editor - manual.limesurvey.org/Custom_Admin_Themes
