While this is good news, those 6 months will be over, faster than one thinks. So I recommend already prepare the transition to LS5, to not get "suprised" in 5 months.
I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.

PHP 8.0 should be save for LS3 and LTS is extended for another six months.

Yes, it's like Christmas which also comes as a surprise every year
