PHP 8.0 should be save for LS3 and LTS is extended for another six months.


While this is good news, those 6 months will be over, faster than one thinks. So I recommend already prepare the transition to LS5, to not get "suprised" in 5 months. ;-)

Yes, it's like Christmas which also comes as a surprise every year ;-)

Perhaps someone might post this valuable news and recommendation in a place visible to as many LS users as possible? E.g. on www.limesurvey.org/de/blog or elsewhere.

LS3 will not support PHP 8.1. There are no plans to make it compatible as the effort would be too high.
