Hi limesurvey community!

I've tried searching the forum for answers but was unable to located any topic that directly relate to this topic.
please refer to my question to the image which is attached.





I have no idea why there isn't a check box in front of other "option" which I have selected from the question edit page. the only way I can implement a check box is to add another sub question and leave it blank. what that leaves me with is a unorganized layout and perhaps will be confusing to participants (check boxes not lining up with "other" option).

any help would be greatly appreciated! thank you!

If it doesn't, it might be a problem with your template. Which template are you using?

yes that's exactly what I have selected..



however when I test the question the layout isn't like that and I have no idea.. perhaps its directed to the template in which your talking about that's the culprit.

how do I check which template I am currently using? I thought its pre-set and have no idea how I can change the template. please advise..

Go to survey --> General Settings --> Presentation & Navigation --> Template. Use "default" or "basic" and see if the problem is solved.

I changed it to default template and re-ran test survey same results.. other "option" does not have a check box in front of it.

should I delete the question group and re set up to see if it overwrites it some how?

just tried to delete the question group and add them back in again using default template with no success still no check box in front of other "option" just an update.

That is really weird.

Make a test. Open a new survey, create just one question group and create one question to test this.

Here it works fine. However, I am using a newer version. So this might be a bug of your particular version (but I doubt it).

By the way, your version is over a year old, I would upgrade at least to the latest version of 2.05+.

We don't know if the default template was touched before. Even though there is a protection inside the template section it can be modified.

A testlink to the survey or demo with this problem would be helpful.
