==================
Dear limesurvey team,

I'm currently creating a matrix in my survey where people can express their answers on a scale from 1-7. Since the matrix includes several questions people need to scroll down during answering leading to the problem that they don't see the scale description (1-7) anymore at the end. Is there a possbility to show the scale description also after scrolling down?

I would be very happy about an answer because I don't find any solution.

kind regards, Luissa

You can repeat the scale each 2nd, 5th, 9th, whenever you want, subquestion.

I don't hope you want to explain the scale in the question text and only show numbers in the array itself.
A really bad way to display this

Furthermore you can insert your own headers in the array.
Examples in the forum.

Best you provide a lss export.

Thanks for your answer! I created my own headers in the sense of "Don't agree (1)" , "Agree (2)", and so on. Hope this is not a bad way? :D

But is there a possibility to repeat the array headers automatically when you scroll down or at the end of the scale instead of repeating it in between?

I think it is possible to have the scale "fixed" somehow, but there can always happen some problems.

There is a setting in the matrix question settings where you can define that the scale is automatically repeated every x subquestions. This usually works quite well.

In generally, Matrix questions are not the most user friendly questions itself. Sometimes it makes sense to split a question into several questions to make it more digestable.

Ok, thanks, I just looked for the setting. Can you tell me where I find it? is it in the specific question?

Here you set it
Version 3.x.

Version 5.x.

You see I entered "2" and now the header is repeated after every second subquestion.
