I have a probably quite simple problem: I want to tailor the answer of a question with select box as answer type into the next question.
E.g. Q1: Which food do you like? A: Apple B: Banana
Q2: Why do you like {Q1}?
In my test, it just shows the number code of the answer in Q2, e.g. 1 for Apple and 2 for Banana, but not the answer itself. With a free text as answer type, everything works fine.
In the Manual (
Expression Manager – LimeSurvey Manual
), it states: "
Note: Dynamic tailoring may not work if answer options are made available in select boxes on the same question page. This results from the fact that tailoring inserts a <span> tag which is not valid inside select options."
But if I move the second question on a new page, no difference...
