I have two questions about the navigation buttons:
I changed the color of the text, background and the border of the buttons, but I don’t know how to change the color of those two arrows...Or get rid of them?

Secondly, I wonder can I change the alignment of these two buttons. I want to put the “next” button in the lower left corner and the “back” button in the lower right corner of the screen. Can I do that?

You need to work with the jquery in the theme folder

the arrow is part of the sprite-png-colletions in the your-theme/image folder of your theme.

You can look to at citronade template : don't use jquery-ui but only css.

Look at template.js to deactive jquery-ui button and template.css for background-image.
