One user to fill multiple recordsets was created by Xellaskljym
Hello,
I've been searching using google and here on the forum but I can't find a proper answer to my question. That's why I'm asking you, experts, if limesurvey can be used to solve the problem I'm facing.
A customer currently uses a printed PDF survey in order to store records of the visits he pays on industrial sites. He gathers infos like the date of the visit, the people presents, the weather, and well a lot of things that are important to him (24 pages...).
His IT department hadn't time to provide him with a solution and instead told him to find an independant contractor (that's me) and to have him use limesurvey.
So basicaly I'd like to know if Limesurvey can be used this way : 1 user answering the form multiple times, record sets being identified by industrial site name. Of course he'd also like to be able to go back to an industrial site record to update it.
If yes, is there a special configuration I should be looking at? Such as "tokens / no tokens" for instance?
Thank you in advance for bringing me enlightenment on the subject.
Best regards,
Pierre
PS: If LimeSurvey can't do that and you know other software solutions that could answer my need best, feel free to suggest them.

All anwser is yes. And best is to use token to limit access to survey.
But just one remark : to make a quote, i allways quickly test myself the power of the tool chosen. And LS is a free software, then you can test without any money, just some time.

Thanks Denis!
Actually I spent 2/3 of my sunday testing LS and couldn't seem to find the right kind of configuration.
Regarding tokens, wouldn't they prevent going back to specific recordsets?

use token
change the column: "Uses left" to a very high number.
(I learned this from reading Denis posts

Use left very big : multi answers with same token
"Allow user to edit answers" : One token -> one answer line , but can be updated.
