gmail or microsoft are not the 1st choose for mass mailing.

There are a lot of existing services for mass mailig. Currently they have SMTP.

Else : OAuth can be in plugin, like SMTP in fact … and LimeSurvey ouit of the box can offer only mail.

I'm not talking only about SMTP or these two particular services here. I'm talking about email services *trend* in general. Bounce functionality, which requires IMAP or POP mailbox access will be affected too, which probably can't be solved by plugins.

I'm in a similar boat - I was wondering whether you think this would do the job?  SendGrid seems to have an SMTP option: 'Integrating with the SMTP API'.

I use Sendgrid for email sends in LS.

I just replace user with "apikey" and the password with the apikey itself... As of today it works just fine.
