I have a question. I am planning to survey around 3000 participants. I have unique IDs and passwords (both are numbers) for them. So I would like to know if there is a way to use those unique IDs and passwords for those respondents and to link them to their answers. I checked survey participants menu, but it requires first/last name and email address and i am not able to provide all this information.
First name, last name and email are mandatory, but nobody forbids, to use "N", "N", "John@Doe.com" for all.
Only do not check for duplicates when importing the data.
Or you use your ID as last name.
And your password? Fine, this you may use as so called token.

Volunteers are not paid.
Not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless
so the problem is that, I am don't have participant emails. I am planning to send printed invitations to sampled households, where specific ID/Passwords and link to the questionnaire will be printed.
So I need ID/Passwords to be sure that selected household member has filled the questionnaire and I can link this respondent to the household that was selected.
No a problem. You can create the token table with dummy emails, same approach as with the dummy "names".
You can then ask them to put their ID (this would be the token) then they can enter the survey. Now you want an additional security with the password. There is no password feature in Limesurvey. But you can just put a text field were they put the password and then compare the password they typed with the password that you saved in the survey participant table / token table. You can then either allow them to continue anyway or you can "screen them out" or not let them continue, if the password is wrong.

Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
Note: I answer at this forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.
