Trying to import a 4 MB .lss file (so I can't attach it here since the limit is 2 MB). Get the error "An error occurred uploading your file. This may be caused by incorrect permissions in your /var/www/myapp/tmp folder".
I can import other, smaller .lss files so I don't think it is a permissions issue. I'm wondering if it is a size issue but can't seem to find a setting for it, and whether or not I can modify the setting if it does exist.
We are on version 2.06

Hi,
if you have a look at the manual
manual.limesurvey.org/Surveys_-_introduction#Import_a_survey
you see a max file size of 2MB.
In my installations (2.73 and 3.22) it is 64MB
Unfortunately 2.06 doesn't show the max. size.
But in my opinion this just reflects the upload_max_filesize of the php installation.
What do you see in phpinfo?
You may try to zip your file and attach it here,

@Joffm was 100% right
Maybe an alternate solution ?
Activate survey, export as survey archive : maybe it's lesser than 2Mo
lss is text, lsa is zip of lss + a csv with answers (but you don't have one)

And - just to be sure:
I looked at the setting of my XAMPP phpinfo.
Only 2MB.
As you seem to use a local installaton, you might try to change the setting in your php.ini
; Maximum allowed size for uploaded files.
; php.net/upload-max-filesize
upload_max_filesize=2M
I changed the value and got in phpinfo
