Hi,
maybe i need an explanation about group randomization:
i've a survey with 3 group, every group has 2 question inside, i need to randomized the group (not the question inside every group):
GROUP1:
question 1.1;
question 1.2;
GROUP2:
question 2.1;
question 2.2;
GROUP3:
question 3.1;
question 3.2;
i write the same string in 'Randomization group'in group description, when i try to execute the survey, all the questions are randomized.
i see something like:
question3.1
question2.1
question1.2
.....
i would have something like:
question2.1
question2.2
question1.1
question1.2
question3.1
question3.2
i need that only the groups are random, not the question inside.
Do you have any idea? it's possible that i don't understand how to do it, isee the istructions here:
manual.limesurvey.org/Creating_a_questio..._group_randomization
thanks

If you write for example "randgroup1" in the "randomization group" fields of all groups that should be randomized, this should work. If this is not the case, this might be a bug. But from the description of the result, you have written the same string into the randomization group field of each question!
Please note that "randomization group" is not the same as "question group". Both groups, but both totally different concepts.
So from what I understand is, you want to rotate the groups, but within the groups the questions should stay in the same order. So you open each question group that should fall into the randomization and under the description you will find a field "randomization group", there you put the same string for all question groups that should be randomized.

Hi,
i've checked, and i wrote only in group description...this is the reason for writing this post.
now, i'm doing some test, maybe the problem can be a cache problem with chrome.
bye

Well, you can always export your survey as .lss and upload it here, so we can have a look at the configuration.

The group randomization you are looking for will only work if the survey is in group-by-group mode.

I have 3 random groups, when I run the survey and I go out and then continue, the groups that have already been answered are presented again, they do not exclude groups that have already presented and answered before leaving.
Is this a bug?

i think that it's a bug. maybe cleaning the cache or some temp table it's possible to fix?
