export responses from offline survey app and import them in limesurvey , how ? was created by assforum
hi everyone
I added my lime survey in the offlinesurveyapp. i have more then 20 responses in local (not sync)! Then export the
responses from offlinesurvey app ,(it generate 2 files "DBResults" , EASYResults) the exported files are in csv format. I am using the limesurvey CE 3.25.3 version. I try to import the csv file in the limesurvey but its not working .
Please help to do this.

These results are not supposed to be imported in Limesurvey. You download them as a CSV and then together with the results from your limesurvye installation which you also download as CSV you can join them.
If you want to have the responses from the offline app in your Limesurvey installation, you will have to do the syncronisation.
However, I will move this to the section dedicated to the Offline App.

How you join them?
To be able to import into LimeSurvey you may use a vv-export file.
The vv-Export file is TAB-separated.
So export your data from your LimeSurvey survey as vv-Export, open it in EXCEL, OpenOffice, or other,
open your offline csv file, too and you will be able to change the structure to the needed one and merge the two files
Save as TAB-separated and you may be able to import again.

If the exported CSV files are the same "style", then the two surveys were not the same! But then you wouldn't be able to synchronize the app with your LS installation either.
So the columns of the two files must be the same, otherwise you did something seriously wrong.
If not, you will have to do some manual adaptation. Not a big deal either.
What I would do in such cases is copy the two files with headers one below the other in Excel and then check if the columns are the same. Where they don't match, you rearrange the columns manually until they match. Not much else you can do.
