I would like to make an attrakDiff type questionnaire on LimeSurvey. My question is the following: Is it possible to create "sub-questions" on the left and on the right of the "answer modalities"? Just to clarify, what I am referring to when I say "sub-question" is the empty area in the attached screenshot right next to the "Isolates me (-3)" answer mode.

I personally wouldn't make the effort.

I think with a little bit of formatting, you can get your version to look good. E.g. I would put a line break after the text and align all the numbers at the bottom and you should already be pretty good in terms of readability and usability, and then you can make the space of the subquestion text almost disappear, if you wish to do so.

Or do you look for something like the semantic diferential option here:

I'm asking for your help again but this time it's for an alignment problem. As you can see on the attached screenshot, there is one of the two questionnaires where the sliders allowing to answer are perfectly aligned. But in my version, the one next to it on the screenshot, this is not the case at all. Do you know how I could get the sliders perfectly aligned? 

Your theme looks like a custom theme. So the person that created that theme must have "destroyed" the slider layout on the way.

And till now you did not mention which version of LimeSurvey you are using.

And did you try it in one of the standard themes?

Then your only chance is to get in touch with the person that is responsible for the Limesurvey installation in your big corporation and relate the bug in the theme. There is not much we can help you with, as this a custom theme and you have no rights to change it.

And while you are at it, you should inform this person that the installation is over 5 years (!!!!) old and thus hasn't received any update or bug/security fix since then. Especially in times of GDPR this is a fairly risky move, as you are supposed to use 'state of the art' software to protect data.

I think it will be hard to argue that your company uses 'state of the art' software with a 5 year old software open to the internet (and there have been 2 major stable versions of Limesurvey since then).

So I would highly recommend to make a switch to LS 3.x (not to LS 4.x yet, as it is not yet considered stable).

Thank you for all this information. I have passed this information directly to my direction. I admit that I can't explain why we are using this dated version, some of our computers are still running W7.... Maybe this is the reason.

But keep in mind: When you switch to a newer version, your custom theme will need to be created new, because it won't work in any of the newer versions. The template/theme system has changed.
