hallo, just installed Limesurvey CE on my webspace and wanted to run the installer. when I call  mydomain.com/admin I get this message: Internal Server ErrorThe server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.Please contact the server administrator at [no address given] to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.More information about this error may be available in the server error log.Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

What went wrong? Do I have to configure files before? It is not mentioned in the manual.

Well, this is a problem with the server configuration and you should contact the admin of your server. 500 Internal Server Error is generally a problem with the server that doesn't meet the requirements.

Does your webspace meet all the requirements for installing Limesurvey? Which Limesurvey CE version are you trying to install? LS 3.x, LS 4.x or a previous LS 2.x?

Version ist 3.25.4 - now i am trying the 3.25.8.
My server should meet all requirements.
Anyway, followed the manual by the book. It says: Go to "example.org/limesurvey/admin". If you configured everything correctly, the LimeSurvey installer should be starting...
But there ist nothing to be configured so far...
so i am a little bit lost now..

In which folder did you upload LS to on your server?

Of course example.org/limesurvey/admin only works if you uploaded the LS within the same structure. E.g. my limesurvey installations are only reachable under surveys.domain.tld/xxx/admin.

So it depends on where you put the LS files on your server. No one can know that.

No Folder - just in the main directory.

Do you know this for a fact? Did you contact your hosting provider?

Domainfactory is listet as supported Hoster - so I think so.

This is the English part of the forum, so please in English. If you want to use German, no problem, there is a German part of the forum.

If you have put the files in the main directlry, then you would need to call meinedomain.com/admin

If this doesn't work: Can you post a screenshot of the folder structure where the LS files are?

And I don't know the Domainfactory servers, so I can't say if they are ok for this. I can just tell you that an 500 error means that there is something wrong with the server.

Listed where? You still need to check. We cannot guess at your server set-up.
