Hello everyone,

I've created my survey in 6 different languages but when i'm executing the survey in any other language by default it shows it in English.

And when i append '?lang=fr' it gets translated, i'm not getting what is the issue with the translation.

How can i get language code in jquery.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

So what is the issue? You wrote that when you append ?lang=fr it gets translated?

BTW: Translating itself is not by LimeSurvey. You have entered the different languages in the textboxes labled with the languages names, haven't you?

Yes, but when i manually append the language code in URL it gets translated.

When i click on execute survey in french i gets redirected to token form and that form opens in french language but once i fill up the token and press continue the survey gets loaded in English.

Ok, can be a bug.

To sumup:
When you enter the survey via a URL with e.g ?lang=fr, the languages switches after entering the token back from French to the main language of the survey (English?)

1. What version of LimeSurvey is used (you find that info at the bottom of LimeSurvey).
2. Did you check the language field in the participant list

You can add a language switch question to provide participants to switch. Which isn't directly a solution to your issue but will ease the pain for the moment.

Yes in language field for participant it is 'fr'.

Thanks, but it will create a issue in collecting the responses. What if participant is from France and mistakenly fills the survey in English.

Just to be sure:
Is the issue occuring when you have the ?lang= is attached? Or only when not attaching ?lang= ?

There is a bugreport for that issue, when NOT setting the ?lang= parameter.

So updating the LS version (still recommend) will not fix it.
You might add your comment to the bugreport to raise attention to the issue.
You should distribute the surveylinks with an attached lang parameter.

When i don't have lang parameter in my string it gets loaded normally in English and if i manually add the

So basically the problem is that the lang parameter gets disappeared after token form.

Please, update to the latest the version.
We've fixed a couple of bugs with token and languages since 3.7

I've just downloaded the lsa file attached in the bug, and everything is working fine here.
So I assume it has been fixed.

Do you have any idea how to enable language switcher on token form.

I'd just give it a try and it seems not possible for now, even by editing the theme.
I don't know if it was available in 2.x version, but clearly: It should be available.
It will be easy and fast to do.So I'll do it this afternoon, and the language changer will shown on token page in the next release (so you'll just have to update to get it)
