Hello everyone,
In the .lss that I have attached here I have the first question which is a multiple choice question. When the user selects three of them, rows are added in A.7. To be honest I would rather have a column added but when I put the code in the x-scale of the array in A.7 it does not work. Could you help me with this?
In the A.8 I want almost the same thing.  I want to add the first 4 elements in A.7 which are currently displayed in the columns, in the columns of A.8.

If anyone could help me figure this out I would really appreciate it.

Thank you in advance!

So, you want to swap the array.

Might be possible with plugin
gitlab.com/SondagesPro/QuestionSettingsType/hideEmptyColumn

Hide the not selected columns of the first question.

But if I keep the array as it is without swapping, how can I retrieve the elements of the x-scale of the A.7 questions to A.8? Could this be done?

I thought you want to swap A7, because of its horrable look.

A8 -> plugin will do the job

I tried installing the plugin but it shows this:

×The plugin could not be installed or updated: Could not parse config.xml file.

Is there any other way I could swap the rows and columns? Why can't I filter from x-scale (filter by columns). Like add a column in A.7 for each answer selected in the first question.

Why can't I filter from x-scale (filter by columns)

Because it's not built in.

Take this version of the plugin.
github.com/SondagesPro/LS-hideEmptyColumn
I remember, the older ones did not contain a config.xml file.
And remember: The folder has to have the same name as the *.php file

And it's so easy to use.

I installed the plugin and I activated it. Could you show my how to use it? It is the first time I am using a plugin and I do not know how.

Thank you!

So, if you have no access to the server of your LimeSurvey installation, you have to ask somebody who has.
And as you did not answer the initial questions I do not know where it is hosted.

Usually you unzip the file and upload the folder into the folder "plugins" of your installation with a ftp-client like Filezilla or FireFtp, or...
But since Version 5.x. it is easier as there is the option to "Upload & install".

Which folder and how can I see the name of php.

Open the *.zip file and have a look.
You see the name of the *.php file is different from the name of the folder. But should be the same.
I am not sure if this Upload option handles this or if you have to unzip, rename the directory and zip again.

Nevertheless there is a directory called "plugins"

where you have to upload it.

It work better now.

Sorry for asking these basic questions but how can I check that it works? In my question A.7 for example how to sway the array now?

Thank you!
