When export to SPSS, if exlusive option was checked, others options been marked as missing istead of "NO". Normally missing value for an option means this option wasn't displayed for this participant. When an exlusive option was chosen (such as "None of above") means other options were displayed but not chosen. In this case when an exlusive option was chosen, other options should be marked as "NO".
This situation causes a lot of counfusion in our statistics process. Is there any way to modify this setting? Any help is appreciated.

Hi,
in my opinion LimeSurvey uses the same process as in array filter with filter type "disabled"

So just add this to your SPSS syntax file
V1_6: the exclusive Subquestion
1: Code of "selected"
2: Code of "not selected"

DO IF (V1_6 = 1).
RECODE V1_1 V1_2 V1_3 V1_4 V1_5 (SYSMIS=2).
END IF.

I'm using a similar syntax in SPSS to modify all exclusive options related variables. However, exlusive optioins are not always the last option of a question, which makes it a bit hard to find all exclusive optioins.
I'm still wondering if there is a way to modify the LS setting to solve this issue systematicly.

It's up to you. You may always use the same code for the exclusive options, like "999".

2. I should be able to see new advanced settings in multiple choice questions to make it work.
