Memory Task type question was created by blocka
I have a text question where I want to show the participant a series of numbers or other text in 1 or 2 second intervals.
It's a memory test type question, so basically I show them a series of numbers, and then ask them to enter in the numbers that they recall seeing.
Can anyone suggest some javacript that could allow this to happen?

Did you consider a text-display question with a timer?

I did! But alas, it appears there is a bug in latest LTS release that prevents timers from working:

I wouldn't use 4.x for productive use yet. Go with 3.x for now and you should be fine.

Indeed, I'm running LS 3 -- but my local install is Version 3.22.17+200525 and alas, the time bug appears in that build to (not the build on LimeQuery, which must be a slightly earlier build of 3.22.17 - wish I knew which build, so I could roll back my local instance!).

The bug report you are referencing is for 4.1.11, not for the 3.x branch.
Also, if it works on 3.22.17 on Limequery, than it should work on your 3.22.17 as well. Usually there is only 1 release per day, so this must be something specific to your installation.

Just tested with my Version 3.22.17+200525 and a text display question and it went through without problems.
It showed the timer, counted down 2 seconds and then moved on to the next page/end.
So there seems to be something wrong with your survey/installation.
Can you export a LSS file with only the relevant questions?

I have just noticed that the timer works with the fruity theme, but not vanilla or bootstrap -- maybe that helps?

And on limequery, I see that it works the fruity and bootswatch, but not vanilla (
