]]> <![CDATA[r257q0]]> Thank you for agreeing to participate in this study. We are researchers investigating the relationship between moral judgment and personality. 

 

Procedure: In this study, you will be asked to read 20 short stories describing a character acting in a certain way, and to assess the moral value of his or her action. After reading and answering to all 20 short stories, you will be asked to provide a few personal information (age, gender, language, education level, political orientation) and answer five psychological questionnaires about your personality. Your participation in this research will last about 20 minutes. Compensation: Your participation in this research will be paid $1.5.

 

Data protection: Participants’ anonymity will be respected throughout data collection and analysis. Your Amazon Mechanical Turk number will be used only to secure payment for your participation, and will not feature in the files used for data analysis. Data will be stored at University of Geneva (Faculté de Psychologie) for 5 years, under the custody of Prof. Florian Cova, researcher at the Department of Philosophy. They will be shared with Pr. David Sander, researcher at the Faculty of Psychology, and with Master students involved in this research.

 

Trigger warning: Some of the short stories used in these studies can feature shocking and disturbing moral violations. You are free to leave the study at any moment, but we will pay you only if you complete the study.

Knowing all that, Denise decides to push the hiker. The hiker dies but the five workmen are saved.
